Precautions
1. The granulator must run in the forward direction; avoid reverse rotation.
2. The granulator must not be run empty or without load. It must be warm before feeding to prevent sticking (shaft seizure).
3. Iron or other foreign objects must not enter the granulator's feed inlet or vent. This is to prevent unnecessary accidents and ensure safe and normal production.
Precautions During Granulator Operation
1. Pay close attention to the machine's temperature. When the pellets are no longer sticky to the touch with clean hands, immediately increase the temperature until they are sticky to the touch.
2. If the reducer bearings become hot to the touch or are accompanied by noise, stop the machine immediately for inspection and lubrication.
3. If the bearings at both ends of the main bearing housing become hot to the touch or make unusual noises, stop the machine for inspection and lubrication. During normal operation, lubricate the bearing housings every 5-6 days.
4. Understand the machine's operating patterns, such as temperature and rotation speed, and address any issues promptly. 5. If the machine's operation is unstable, check if the coupling gap is too tight and loosen it if necessary.
Initial Start-up Operation Method
1. Before starting the machine, preheat for about 40-50 minutes. Raise the temperature until you can easily pull the motor's V-belt by hand; pull it continuously eight to ten times in the normal operating direction. Then continue heating for about ten minutes, and then start the machine, but continue heating as normal production requires continuous heat replenishment.
Adjust the temperature according to the different properties of the plastic.
2. When the granulator is working normally, the machine temperature should remain stable, avoiding sudden fluctuations. The temperature near the vent, up to the die head, should be maintained at around 200℃ (for polypropylene and ethylene).
3. The feed should be even, without any material shortage. The machine's feeding speed and material supply speed should be properly matched. Otherwise, it will affect the quality and output of the granules.
4. When stopping the machine, completely disconnect the power to the main unit. The die head plug (with the wrench) must be removed. Preheat it separately before the next use.
