Traditional slab forming methods involve stretching the slab through a cooling section (most commonly a water bath), sometimes resulting in slab drop or inconsistent dimensions. This is most common with polymers with poor melt strength, such as polypropylene, polyester, and nylon. When the slab drops, the material is scrapped, so operators must pay close attention. If the slab forming is inconsistent, the downstream granules need to be sieved.
Plastic Granulator – Functions: Utilizing a special screw design and various configurations, it is suitable for producing recycled and mixed granules of various plastics such as PP, PE, PS, ABS, PA, PVC, PC, POM, EVA, LCP, PET, and PMMA. The gearbox features a high-torque design, achieving smooth, noiseless operation. The screw and barrel undergo special hardening treatment, resulting in wear resistance, good mixing performance, and high output. Vacuum or standard exhaust ports remove moisture and waste gas during production, leading to more stable output, stronger granules, and ensuring excellent product quality.
Plastic Granulator – Production Principle: The process of high-temperature melting, plasticizing, and extrusion alters the physical properties of plastics, achieving plasticization and molding.
Plastic Granulator – Applications: Plastic granulators are mainly used for processing waste plastic films (industrial packaging film, agricultural mulch film, greenhouse film, beer bags, tote bags, etc.), woven bags, agricultural convenience bags, basins, buckets, beverage bottles, furniture, daily necessities, etc. They are suitable for most common waste plastics and are the most widely used, most popular, and most widely adopted plastic recycling machinery in the waste plastic recycling industry.
